Watchtower

Somewhere in the Suffolk countryside lies an old nuclear weapons storage base. It closed in the 1960s and many of the buildings have been taken over by small businesses. The site is surrounded by a lovely barbed-wire fence and in each corner is a rather impressive watchtower.

One in particular is rather well-placed and lends itself well to photography – especially with the low winter sun. My aim was to take a photo of this watchtower using as many cameras, films and angles as possible. Unfortunately I moved away from the area so the project was rather short-lived.
